Google Chrome big move: Third Party extensions are coming
Ever since it’s launch Google Chrome is one of my favorite browser. It’s fast, its lightweight, display sites as they are without requiring any CSS hacks and most importantly it does not waste screen space in useless toolbars and icons.
Before using Google Chrome, i am using Opera and Firefox (mainly) and in case of Firefox, the most loved feature is it’s vast library of ever growing extensions. Everyone can find extensions to suit the needs and make life more easy while working with Firefox.
Now after shifting to Google Chrome, extensions is feature, all the users were missing. Although some extensions are available for Google Chrome Developers version, but that’s too much for a normal user. Now Google announce the Google Chrome Extensions Gallery for the public.
As of now, its accepting the submission of extensions from the developers. You need to have a google account to use this and can be access at :
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/developer/dashboard
Now we all can expect a wave of extensions for Google Chrome in next few months and eventually some of the best will find the place in upcoming Google Chrome OS ( will write shortly about it) when launched.
Google Launches “GO” programming language
Google is always coming out with something, which promises more efficiency and ease of use for the users. They have done it over and over again with their set of services like Search Engine, Google Adsense or nowadays Google wave.
Now today Google decided to take another step by launching a new open source language called “GO” targeted for the code running on web. Google believes that development with “GO'’ will deliver performance with speed.
Go is based on C programming language and also incorporates certain elements of python to help building programs running faster. If you want to learn more about this new open source programming language, i suggest you to watch this Google Tech Talk video.
